Branch Goal Setting Most companies engage in a well-defined planning and budgeting process around branch goal setting. As the process relies upon objectives and goals as defined by senior management, the process tends to be top-down with uniform goals applied across the organization. For example, "this year's objective is 10% growth".
The main shortcoming with a strict top-down approach is that not all branches are equal in terms of their markets and competitive environment. Using the example of 10% growth, branches in high growth areas will have a relatively easier time meeting goal than branches in maturing or diminishing markets.
Recognizing the need for an analytical framework to create and measure branch goals, Oxxford has developed a branch goal setting process that optimizes management's ability to establish meaningful goals for its branch network. To learn more, click here.
